ペプチドワクチン臨床試験に関する論文が発表されました。
概略は以下の通りです。

標題：再燃前立腺がんにたいするテーラーメイドペプチドワクチン・低用量エストラムスチン対標準エストラムスチン療法の第2相無作為比較試験

要約：テーラーメイドペプチドワクチンの臨床効果を確認するために再燃前立腺がんにたいするテーラーメイドペプチドワクチン・低用量エストラムスチン対標準エストラムスチン療法の第2相無作為比較試験を実施しました。
これは該当症例がテーラーメイドペプチドワクチン・低用量エストラムスチン群(Ａ群、28例)と標準エストラムスチン療法（Ｂ群、29例）のいずれかに無作為に分けられる臨床試験でした。
その結果、Ａ群の無増悪生存期間（病気進行までの期間）の中央値は8.5カ月であり、他方Ｂ群の無増悪生存期間の中央値は2.8カ月でありました。
これは統計学的有意差をもってＡ群の臨床効果が優れていることを意味します。また生存期間の延長においてもＡ群の臨床効果が優れていることが判明しました。
Ａ群は副作用もすくなく、また投与ペプチドに対しての特異免疫の増強が認めらました。
