ドイツ整形災害外科学会および日独整形災害外科学会ドイツ側会員の皆様

拝啓2011年3月11日、我国で発生した東北地方太平洋地震では、ドイツより救助隊の派遣など、さまざまな支援やお見舞いの気持ちを示して頂いたことに感謝を申し上げます。幸いにも、ドイツ整形災害外科学会と関係ある医師の重大な被災の報告は届いていません。今回の震災では、福島原発の冷却設備が津波により破壊され、大気、海洋中に大量の放射性物質が放出されたことは、国際社会の一員として遺憾と思っております。また、2011年5月13日の第14回日独整形災害外科学会、第84回日本整形外科学術総会も中止が決定され、ドイツ側から多数の演題を応募して戴いた方々には、多大なご迷惑をかけましたことを心からお詫び申し上げます。さて、日本とドイツは、今年で交流150周年を迎え、一連の記念事業では、皇太子殿下とウルフ大統領がそれぞれの国で名誉総裁を務められています。皇太子殿下は、交流150周年について、「日本はドイツから多くのことを学んできましたが、これを機に、互いの理解が一層深まることを期待しています」と述べられています。日独整形災害外科学会もお互いの学術交流が途絶えることなく益々発展することを祈念しております。敬具

Dear German Orthopedics,

As you might know we experienced a big earthquake and tsunami, and we were greatly affected by them. The transportation system in Tokyo is in chaos and we have a shortage of the electricity supply.

There will be a possibility that the 84^th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Circulation Society cancelled all together. In consequence of the 14te Deutsch-Japanische Orthopäden-Unfallchirurgische-Tagung may be postponed.

I am making a plan like this. It is determined that the 85^th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Circulation Society is held in Kyoto in May 18, 2012. Therefore 14te DJOUT will be held at the same time in Kyoto.

I would appreciate if you would let me know if my plan is acceptable to you.

In that case, we will let you know about it as soon as possible.
